5 Out Of 10 Skin Care Products Bad For Your Skin

One of the most competitive and fastest moving industries in the world is the skin care business.
There are now thousands of different offerings from various different companies, many of which have side stepped the expensive start up costs by being based completely online.

The downside of this of course is that almost anyone can set up shop online and there is very little standard control, which goes some way to explain why Norwegian experts discovered that 50% of the online offering where actually bad for you.

A complete spectrum of around 450 products were tested, chosen at random from various Internet sites and spanning all sorts of costs, volumes and places or origin. There were both facial care and hand care products sampled, and they were all tested extensively on various types of skin and measured on their effectiveness, ease of use and side effects. A control group were given a very basic cream that had no active ingredients.

The findings of the study gave some shock results and gave a clear indication of just how many poor quality products are available on the internet. Not only did 70% of the products have no measurable benefits, but 50% actually caused negative effects to the skin of participants. There were many side-effects recorded in the study but some of the worst were skin peeling, spots, blistering, server itching and dryness.

Another finding, which may not come as so much of a surprise, was that those products at the top of the price range benefited the skin most. In actual fact, in term of price, those products that were in the top 25% showed only positive effects, with no negatives recorded. The overruling advice from this research has to be to do your research and only buy the highest quality skin care products possible. Additionally, be sure to source your products from trusted and well-established companies like this London spa.On a final note, always patch-test new skin care products first on an area of skin that is not usually visible, not too sensitive and does not come into contact with other skin.
